History & Overview
The Lincoln Community Foundation was established in 2003. Thanks to a single generous contribution an endowment was gifted to initiate an investment fund. The Foundation continuously seeks and receives donations and gifts to bolster the investment. Interest earned from this investment is used to award grants to local nonprofit groups that better our community.
Since 2005, the LCF has granted over $300,000 for 196 projects that have enriched our community.
The Foundation works through a rigorous grant review process overseen by the Board of Directors. This approach allows the organization to guarantee both impartiality and a high level of professionalism in the grant adjudication process.
All grant applicants are required to submit a detailed grant application for a specific project. Applications are carefully reviewed by the LCF Board of Directors and monitored for compliance.
The Foundation’s driving goal is to build the endowment fund to $1,000,000 or more and to manage that fund with care to ensure its growth. These funds will help Lincoln provide the programs necessary to build a thriving, healthy and prosperous community. Accomplishing our goal depends on your support.
LCF welcomes all kinds of contributions and can facilitate various forms of giving.
